Dukaan to table is what happens when the people behind the counter bring their curation to your doorstep. This started the way most good things do, around food and some wine, with friends. We running into the same frustration: the best things from India were either impossible to find or buried so deep online you'd give up before you got there. So we built the Dukaan we always wanted. Viraj spent his career in hospitality, from Jean-Georges to Blue Bottle to Cha Cha Matcha, always knowing what good looks like before anyone else did. Arjun has been acting and telling stories for over twenty years and finally found one worth building out physically, and I, Varsha, have been cooking, styling, and tasting my way through South Asian food my whole life, and built ImleeKitchen before any of this existed. Together we run Fontainhas and Fonty's in New York City and now we have Dukaan to Table.  Handpicked. Our Coffee

Indian coffee has always been the best. We’re just making it easier for you to find out.

Our coffee starts in Chikmagalur; one of the world’s great but lesser-known coffee regions. It’s grown by a single farmer, Ashok Patre, and roasted to order right here in Bushwick at Driftaway Coffee. Single origin, single farmer. No old inventory, no guessing. Different than what you know; in the best way.

OUR CHAI

Chai is what we built Fontainhas around. 
So when it came to what goes on the shelf, we weren’t going to settle.
 

Our tea leaves come from two of India’s most storied growing regions: the high-altitude gardens of Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh, and the lush valley estates of Assam. Whole spices sourced from Kerala. No syrups, no concentrates; ever. This is chai patti the way it’s meant to be; leaves and spice, nothing added, nothing stripped out.

1. FORMULATION

We start with the ingredient. Every product on our shelf passed a smell test, a taste test, and the hardest test of all: would we actually use this at home.

2. Testing & Regulations

We don’t carry anything we can’t stand behind. Every maker we work with meets the standards we’d hold our own kitchen to.

3. Production

Small-batch, made with intention. We’ve been paying attention to South Asian producers for years. These are the ones that earned a place on your shelf.

OUR MISSION & VISION

We want to put the best of South Asia on every shelf in America. Not because it’s trending. Because it’s always been this good; and most people just haven’t had the right person to show them.

 

Dukaan to Table exists to be that person. Our goal is to keep building the store we always wanted: one that makes South Asian food, drink, and wellness accessible; celebrates the makers behind the products; and gives you a reason to try something new every time you visit.

Our Mission & Vision

Coffee's mission is to offer love and hope to those in need through funds from a great cup of coffee. We want to inspire and educate our coffee lovers in ways that enhance their experience with us and encourage them to be an outlet of hope for others. 

We want to create a coffee culture that is built around quality, sociability, and affordability so that everyone can enjoy our product and share in our outreach. Our goal is to continue to grow our business in ways that will allow us to give more, this will include things like scholarships for local graduating seniors, food programs, and much more! We have BIG plans for coffee and appreciate you joining us on this journey!
