Saat Raas means seven spices. Clove, cinnamon, cardamom, aniseed, ginger, Himalayan tulsi, black pepper; sourced from the Vandiyapar region of Kerala, blended with fully oxidized black tea from Anandini Himalaya Tea, a woman-owned estate whose family has spent over eighty years learning what the mountains know.
This is the masala chai we serve at Fontainhas. The one that punctuates the morning. The one that means everything is going to be fine. No syrups, no concentrates, no shortcuts. Just the spices, the tea, and the ritual.
